| Along with Deon Thompson (Torrance H.S. Los Angeles, CA now a freshman at the University of North Carolina), Cole Aldrich is one of the best post players to play for Branch West Team Reebok in recent years. Cole is extremely strong, super hands, and excellent talent in and around the basket. He loves to attack the rim, and is one of the best dunkers for inside players that I have seen in years. Cole is also a superb defensive rebounder, and a suprisingly effective shot blocker. He is capable of stepping out to the 3-point line and shooting, and has the potential with the caliber of coaching he will receive at Kansas from Bill Self and his staff to play in the NBA. Cole stayed in our home for the weekend, and we could not of had a better guest, a terrific young man! He did however make one major mistake in his stay out here. He challenged Coach Gottlieb to a game of tennis, and unfortunately came up quite short and was sent back home talking to himself. |
